​bandet bildades inför jazztävlingen i Göteborg 2008. Det hette till en början

”Dixie Revival Jazz Band”, men döptes inför tävlingen 2009 om till ”Dixieland

Rednecks”. Vi hade då fått förstärkning av pianisten Ingemar Wågerman. Tredje

gången gillt, vann vi tävlingen 2010 under stort bifall från publiken.

 

Våra musikaliska ideal är svängig dixieland i Chicagostil liksom femtio- och

sextiotalens revivaljazz. Vi hoppas att Du kommer att uppskatta vår spelstil

och låtvalet påvår första CD, som kommer ut i början på april.

Our band was formed to enter the Gothenburg Jazz Competition in 2008.

Initially named the ”Dixie Revival Jazz Band”, it got its present name ”Dixieland

Rednecks” in time for the 2009 competition when Ingemar Wågerman also joined

us on the piano. Entering the competition for the third time, we won in 2010

before a jubilant audience.

Our musical ideals are swinging Chicago dixieland and the revival jazz of the

fifties and sixties. We hope that you will enjoy the style of our band and the

repertoire on our first CD, wich will be released in the beginning of april.
